In a 3 game NBA playoff series, Michael Jordan scored 135 points averaging 45 points in each game when the Chicago Bulls played the Miami Heat in 1992. In a 4 game NBA playoff series Hakeem Olajuwon scored 150 points for the Houston Rockets averaging over 37 points per game against the Dallas Mavericks in 1988. In a 5 game NBA playoff series Michael Jordan scored 226 points, the most points for a 5 game series for the Chicago Bulls playing the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1988, he also averaged over 45 points per game in that series. Jerry West holds the records for a 6 game NBA playoff series scored 278 points, which is over 46 points per game for the Los Angeles Lakers playing against the Baltimore Bullets in 1965. Lastly, in a 7 game NBA playoff series, the record dates back to 1962 when Elgin Baylor scored 282 points or 40 points averaging in each game of the series for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Boston Celtics.
