Bill Russell holds the record for pulling down 40 rebounds in a NBA finals game for the Boston Celtics in 1960. He also tied his NBA finals rebound record with 40 rebounds in 1962 NBA finals. In one half of NBA Finals basketball, Wilt Chamberlain had 26 rebounds in 1967. However, Bill Russell still holds the record with 16 rebounds in a NBA finals quarter. These rebounders got most of their boards on the defensive end, and the most offensive rebounds in the NBA finals came from Elvin Hayes and Dennis Rodman who are both tied for the most offensive rebounds in a NBA finals game with 11 offensive rebounds.
